English Speaking Global Travel Manager (PE-12151)
What you’ll be doing:
• Responsible for management of our global travel spend and suppliers
• Run RFP for a new global travel management company and for a global meetings and events provider and implmenet
• Develop strategy to ensure our global travel policy is consistently applied and adhered to across all of the company
• Ongoing management of our global travel partners and online booking tool
• Manage travel administration teams across the company ensuring our employee travel queries are fully supported
• Conduct regular benchmark reviews to ensure we are obtaining the best price
• Driving strategic initiatives to achieve our global travel strategy
• Ensuring our travel policy guidelines and best practices are applied on a global basis
• Build and maintain key performance targets to measure performance of our travel providers and ensure contractual obligations are met
• Continually analyse supplier spend determine best options and make recommendations
• Draft companywide email communications with key travel information and updates
• Build mutual beneficial relationships with key travel suppliers and develop relationships with key business stakeholders
• Keep up to date with industry information, travel trends, immigration & visa requirements and associated legislation to support the business
• Provide the business with accurate, detailed spend analysis
• Develop strategy to promote key travel initiatives and important information throughout the business
• Manage Online Booking Tool functionality and incidents/faults
• Ensure travel suppliers invoices are managed and processed on a timely basis
What you need to have:
• Have minimum 10 years’ experience in procurement specialising in travel services manging travel spend for a global a global multi national organisation.
• Have previously conducted and managed a tender exercise for a new global travel provider and implemented across multiple countries.
• Fluent in English (and German as an additional language skills would be a benefit).
• Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification in procurement.
• Excellent data analytic capabilities and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in implementing a Travel Management company (TMC) in multiple countries and new online travel booking tool (OBT).
• Experience with using KDS NEO or Concur.
• Proven experience of strategic and tactical sourcing within the corporate travel industry.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Proven ability of analysing and resolving complex problems quickly to drive performance improvement.
• Able to influence and engage with key business stakeholders across the globe.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.
• Experience in supporting global travel strategy and experience in supporting international travel projects.
